The role of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to alleviate copper sulfate toxicity in Cyprinus carpio

This study aimed to determine the role of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in alleviating copper sulfate toxicity carp fish and by evaluating Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity histopathological alteration gills brain with determined severity lesions semi-quantities analysis. Sixty were divided into four groups first was a control group second exposed CuSO4 0.53 mg/L, third treated yeast 5 g/ kg ratio fourth CuSO4. At end experiment (56 days) it observed that there significant decrease AChE group, while this improved significantly group. The variable from infiltration inflammatory, edema, central chromatolysis neuron cell bodies. same time, include congestion, hydropic degeneration, hyperplasia mucus cells shortening secondary gill filaments shaped like drumstick, necrosis, cartilage disruption. analysis classified them as mild, moderate, severe, irreversible lesions.
